Prepwork
We ensure that the area is adequately prepared for the project. We dry rub or wet wash the surfaces removing any debris. Depending on the area and texture we'll hand rub the surface to detect imperfections, then scuff-sand the walls. After that we fill any holes and cracks found. We caulk any gaps in the trim as well as get rid of water marks and other stains.
Cleaning
Part of the prep work we do involves cleaning. Debris, dust and things like hair can distract from the finished look. Before painting can begin, we will do the aforementioned prep work. We'll then rub a lightly damp cloth over walls, trim, and floor that'll help to eliminate contaminates which could slow our progress and affect the long term results. If the job is in a bedroom we will clean up and clear out the area before and after each work day insuring that the project is as tidy as possible. This gives everyone access to the space without accidentally spilling or tracking unwanted mess throughout the home.
Painting
After any areas repaired in the previous step are primed, we'll apply quality low VOC paints for a uniform finish. There are multiple finish options, including flat, matte, eggshell, satin, semi-gloss, and high-gloss, and we will have gone over the benefits of each with you beforehand so you can make an informed decision.
